சென்னை மாநகர ஆணையாளராக திரிபாதி இருந்தவரை இணை ஆணையர் சண்முக ராஜேஸ்வரன் பெரும் அதிகாரத்தை செலுத்தி வந்திருக்கிறார். கமிஷனருக்கு நெருக்கம் என்பதால், மற்ற இணை ஆணையர்களை விட, சண்முக ராஜேஸ்வரனுக்கு செல்வாக்கு அதிகமே. ஆனால், புதிய ஆணையராக ஜார்ஜ் பொறுப்பேற்றவுடன், சண்முக ராஜேஸ்வரனின் சிறகுகளைத் துண்டித்திருப்பதாகத் தெரிகிறது.

சண்முக ராஜேஸ்வரனின் நடவடிக்கைகளில் திருப்தி அடையாத ஜார்ஜ், அவருக்குப் பதிலாக டிஐஜியாக இருக்கும் திருஞானத்தை தெற்கு இணை ஆணையராக நியமிப்பதற்கு பரிந்துரை செய்திருப்பதாக பரபரக்கின்றன காவல்துறை வட்டாரங்கள். அப்படியா ?

Shanmugarajeswa ran is a loyal AIADMK cadre who knows nothing about Police work. His daily routine is paying respects at the Poes Garden and then after breakfast he would don his uniform and stand enroute CM convoy in some visible place so that he is noticed. After this he would visit the secretaroat and see all IAS officers in CM Cell and Home etc. he would then make way for his houise for lunch and will never bother to come to his office located in Mount. Elderly and women complainants would be told till 2pm that the JCP may come anytime to his office and they would stand like bloody indiots outside his office. If not they will be directed by the JCP Office Staff to meet the DCP after 2pm. In the evenings JCP Shanmugarajeswa ran will be busy visiting many ministers and other VVIPs in their respective homes. He will also pay a visit to the AIADMK party office to mark his attendence. Many elderly males and aldiy complainants have ben told by the JCP Office Camp Clerk to come after 9pm (?) because the JCP chooses that time of the night to sit in office for 2 hours to sign off all official papers and also PR work etc of the sub-ordinates. The new COP George IPS has to think here. Is it good and decent for any elderly male or ladies to call on the JCP at the night around 9pm or thereafter just for making a formal complaint? It is better woser sense prevails. The COP and the DGP have to a dvise the CM to shunt-out Shanmugarajeswa ran to some non sensitive unit. He may be a good hearted person or a sycophant in other words. But he is a stumbling block to the Citizens of Chennai metro for he neither knows his Police work nor does he know how to command his subordinates for effective Policing. It would be a Blessing in Disguise if Shanmugarajeswa ran IPS is shunted out from South Chennai....
